DIGBIED (Discussion Group of Biology Education): Building the Confidence of Gen-Z Teachers in the Modern Era

Yogyakarta - In order to prepare adaptive and confident future educators, the Biology Education Study Program successfully organized DIGBIED (Discussion Group of Biology Education). This discussion forum was specifically designed to help students boost their self-confidence and understand effective teaching strategies for Generation Z (Gen-Z) teachers when facing students in today's era.
This activity served as a platform for students to exchange ideas about the challenges and opportunities of teaching in the digital age. The discussion focused on how a Gen-Z teacher can utilize technology, understand the characteristics of today's students, and build interactive and engaging communication in the classroom.
Through this forum, participants were encouraged to explore their potential and realize that self-confidence is the main key to transferring knowledge. By understanding pedagogical methods relevant to the times, students are expected to no longer feel hesitant when standing in front of the class.
With the completion of this DIGBIED activity, it is hoped that it will produce prospective biology teachers who not only master the material but also possess a strong, innovative mentality and are ready to become inspiring educators for future generations.
