ZOOLOGI (Zone of Organism Research Community)

Coordinator : Dr. Muh. Ja’far Luthfi, M.Si.

The Zone of Organism Research Community (Zoology) is a Student Community (SC) activity within the Biology Education Study Program. The Zone of Organism Research Community (Zoology) was established as the initial SC focusing on animal research studies. The name “Zoology” is derived from two Greek words, zoon and logos. “Zoon” means animal, while “logos” means knowledge or study. Therefore, zoology refers to the scientific study of animals. Accordingly, Zoology aims to broaden students’ knowledge and understanding of animal science.

The Zoology activity also serves as a platform for active students of the Biology Education Study Program to develop their interests and talents related to animal studies. The activity is intended to provide positive experiences, particularly in conducting and exploring animal research. These experiences are expected to encourage students to become more engaged in their academic studies and support their learning process throughout their university education until graduation. The Zoology community consists of administrators and members who are active students of the Biology Education Study Program.
