HAMAMAYU (Kesenian Pendidikan Biologi)

Coordinator : Dian Noviar, S.Pd., M.Pd.Si.

Illustration and visual arts play an important role in supporting biology students, particularly in illustrating anatomy, plant and animal morphology, and developing scientific diagrams. Beyond this, art can serve as an effective medium for campaigns that communicate messages about ecology, conservation, and sustainability, for example through theatrical performances addressing forest degradation or art exhibitions highlighting biodiversity. Ultimately, art helps students appreciate the aesthetic aspects of biological phenomena, allowing biology education to go beyond factual knowledge and showcase the beauty of nature, making the learning process more profound and meaningful.

Based on these needs, HAMAMAYU was established as a student arts organization that serves as a platform for expression, creativity, and togetherness. The organization functions as an “art laboratory” that encourages artistic creation, cultural exploration, and community engagement through aesthetic and academic values. Through artistic activities, students not only develop their artistic skills but also cultivate social awareness and strengthen their character. The organization is also expected to foster academically excellent and culturally aware individuals who are capable of appreciating and finding meaning in every artistic process.
