Sleman - In order to realize its concern for nature preservation and support environmental conservation, the Biology Education Study Program successfully organized an event titled PEPELING (Pebio Peduli Lingkungan / Pebio Cares for the Environment). This activity focused on planting several trees located in Garongan Tourism Village, Turi, Sleman.

The event was attended by students, lecturers, and local residents who worked together to plant the trees. The selection of Garongan Tourism Village as the location was based on its beautiful natural potential; thus, the addition of vegetation is expected to strengthen its ecological function while supporting nature-based tourism in the area.

Through PEPELING, the Biology Education Study Program not only focuses on academic aspects but also on the real-world application of biological sciences in maintaining ecosystem balance. This activity also serves as an educational medium for both the community and students regarding the importance of preserving the environment from an early age.

With the completion of this tree-planting activity, it is hoped that it will provide long-term benefits for the surrounding environment and inspire other environmental care activities in the future
