Islamic Studies: The Urgency of Self-Transformation for Students Towards Self-Actualization
Yogyakarta - In order to enhance spiritual understanding and develop student character, the Biology Education Study Program successfully organized an Islamic Studies event. This activity, which was packaged as a religious gathering (pengajian), carried a highly relevant theme for the younger generation: "The Urgency of Self-Transformation for Students Towards Self-Actualization."
The event was attended by students, lecturers, and the entire academic community. This study aimed to provide deep insights into the importance of making positive changes (self-transformation) from within, as a first step toward achieving one's best potential (self-actualization) in line with Islamic values.
Through this gathering, participants were invited to reflect on themselves and understand that academic success must be balanced with spiritual and moral maturity. Self-transformation is not only about personal achievement but also about how to provide benefits to the surrounding environment in accordance with the principle of rahmatan lil 'alamin (a mercy to all creation).
With the completion of this Islamic Studies event, it is hoped that it will serve as a valuable provision for students in their academic journey and daily lives, enabling them to become graduates who are not only intellectually superior but also possess noble character.
