Social Care Action Movement (GAPS): Sharing Benefits Through the Donation of Pre-loved Items at Yatim Amanah Orphanage

Bantul – As a tangible manifestation of concern for others and the implementation of humanitarian values, the Biology Education Study Program successfully organized the Social Care Action Movement (GAPS). This activity focused on collecting and distributing pre-loved, gently used items to the children at the Yatim Amanah Orphanage Foundation in Bantul, Yogyakarta.
This activity involved the active participation of students and the academic community, who worked together to collect various items such as clothing, books, and other daily necessities that were still in excellent condition. The distribution of these donations aimed to provide direct benefits and moral support to the foster children at the foundation.
Through GAPS, students were not only encouraged to be sensitive to the social conditions around them but also to learn the importance of sharing and extending the useful life of goods. This visit to the orphanage also served as a valuable moment to interact, provide motivation, and spread happiness.
With the completion of this Social Care Action Movement, it is hoped that it will provide meaningful benefits to the Yatim Amanah Orphanage Foundation and foster a strong, sustainable social spirit within every Biology Education student.
