Yogyakarta - In order to develop students' creativity and journalistic skills, the Biology Education Study Program successfully organized a Photography and Writing Workshop. This seminar and workshop carried a highly engaging theme: "Weaving Words Through the Lens" (Merangkai Kata dalam Bidikan Lensa).
This activity was designed to equip students with the ability to document activities or natural phenomena through photography, while also translating them into informative and appealing written pieces. Through this workshop, participants learned how a photograph can tell a stronger story when paired with the right narrative.
The event featured competent practitioners in the fields of photography and writing, who shared their technical tips and experiences. The participants' enthusiasm was evident during the hands-on practice session, where students tried taking pictures and composing short descriptions based on their shots.
With the completion of this Photography and Writing Workshop, it is hoped that Biology Education students will not only excel in the sciences but also possess strong visual communication and literacy skills to disseminate scientific information to the wider public.
