Biology OSN Material Mentoring: Improving Teacher and Student Readiness for the National Science Olympiad
Yogyakarta – In order to support the improvement of science education quality, the Biology Education Study Program, in collaboration with the Indonesian Biology Educators and Researchers Association (HPPBI) DIY, successfully organized the High School Biology OSN Material Mentoring for Teachers and Students. This academic coaching program was specifically designed to improve participants' readiness for the National Science Olympiad (OSN).
The activity was attended by biology teachers and high school students who were enthusiastic about deepening their understanding of complex olympiad materials. Through this mentoring, participants received strategic preparation, question analysis, and reinforcement of fundamental biology concepts frequently tested in the OSN.
This program aims not only to produce high-achieving students but also to empower teachers with better capacities to guide students at their respective schools. The synergy between lecturers, HPPBI practitioners, teachers, and students is the key to creating a competitive and supportive learning ecosystem.
With the completion of this mentoring activity, it is hoped that students will achieve maximum results in the OSN, and that the quality of biology learning at the high school level will continue to improve.
