Field Trip: Tracing the History of Education at the UNY Education Museum
Yogyakarta – In order to enrich their insight into the history and philosophy of education, students of the Biology Education Study Program successfully organized a Field Trip to the Education Museum of Yogyakarta State University (UNY). This activity was part of the learning agenda for the Education Science course.
This visit was designed to provide students with a contextual understanding of the evolution of education in Indonesia. Through various collections, artifacts, and historical documentation at the museum, students were able to directly observe the struggles and development of the educational system over time.
This activity not only reinforced the theories learned in the classroom but also fostered a sense of pride and responsibility as future educators. Interactive discussions regarding the noble values of education inherited from the nation's historical figures became one of the key highlights of this visit.
With the completion of this field trip, it is hoped that students will gain a deeper understanding of the roots of education in Indonesia and be motivated to make their best contributions to the future of national education.
